🪵 Laminate Pricing Checker

For company estimating — type a Formica® / Wilsonart® colour code (e.g. 7850-60) and get the pricing route instantly: Basic / Standard = price at the base rate · Premium = price at the premium rate · Special (compact laminate & other specialty products) = email the vendor for a price — do not price it from the basic/premium rates.

Anything that is not a regular HPL sheet is always vendor-priced, whatever the colour code says — see the Formica® National Product Guide (July 2026) specialty chapters, pp.19–23.

How the pricing route is decided — company estimating

ResultWhat estimating does
BASIC / STANDARDPrice it at the basic / standard laminate rate.
PREMIUMPrice it at the premium laminate rate.
SPECIAL — VENDOR PRICEDo not price it from the rates — email the vendor for a price (compact laminate, ColorCore2®, HardStop®, metals, magnetic/writable, fire-rated, exterior, HD / 180fx® specialty designs).

For a regular HPL sheet the tier is driven mainly by the finish suffix (the part after the dash), with two overrides: a premium design collection (Wilsonart designs ending in K) is Premium even in a standard finish, and specialty designs (Formica 180fx®, Wilsonart HD) go to vendor pricing. This tool applies exactly those rules, plus a starter name database for common designs.

Formica tiers now follow the Formica® National Product Guide, July 2026 (supplied by the user): p.4 marks every Premium texture with an X — including -90 Gloss, -42 Crystal and -MC MicroDot, which this tool previously treated as standard/check based on furniture guides. The Guide's Product Index also classifies 9529 Sea Salt as a Pattern (P), not 180fx, so 9529-58 now prices as Basic/Standard. Final tier can also depend on grade, sheet size and regional stock — confirm a Special result with the vendor, which is exactly what the vendor-price route does.
